314 Listed Companies Surveyed by Institutions
Last week, the A-share market continued its downward correction trend, but institutional research on listed companies remained fervent. Data shows that in the week just passed (November 18th to November 24th), a total of 314 A-share listed companies received institutional research, with these companies being relatively concentrated in the electronics, basic chemical, power equipment, and machinery equipment industries. Looking at the performance in the secondary market, 103 of the researched listed companies achieved positive returns against the trend, accounting for nearly one-third.
The industry sectors that have been intensively researched by institutions are currently presenting numerous structural layout opportunities. In the view of industry insiders, the upward trend in the semiconductor industry's prosperity is maintained, and the continuous introduction of chips with AI capabilities is expected to drive a new round of replacement demand. For the power equipment industry, investment opportunities in the direction of going global, electricity reform, and digital distribution networks are worth grasping.

Talking Tom Cat is the most favored by institutions.
Looking at the research situation of individual companies, last week Talking Tom Cat received research from 84 institutions, including 10 securities companies and 31 fund companies, making it the most favored listed company by institutions. As an all-platform IP operator, AI-related topics were frequently asked about by institutions during the research, such as the main gameplay of the company's AI voice robot, what AI products there are and when they plan to go online, and what the main differences are between AI robot products and the mainstream smart speakers on the market, among others. Data shows that last week a total of 314 listed companies received institutional research. In addition to Talking Tom Cat, Chow Tai Fook and Foxconn also attracted institutional attention, with 76 and 73 institutions researching them, respectively. Companies such as Sili Bao Technology, Opt Technology, Xiang Piao Piao, Antarctica E-commerce, Yahua Group, and Mould Technology all received research from more than 40 institutions last week. In addition to Shanghai and Shenzhen listed companies, four Beijing Stock Exchange listed companies, Parallel Technology, Xun'an Technology, Ze Cheng Electronics, and Silane Technology, also received institutional research last week.
From the research records disclosed by the aforementioned researched listed companies, as 2024 is about to come to an end, many listed companies' performance outlook for the fourth quarter of 2024, the overall business situation for the year 2024, and the development prospects for 2025 have attracted institutional attention. Topics such as next year's new product plans, subsequent dividend plans, and future business growth points have also been mentioned by institutions. Some listed companies have experienced fluctuations in their business performance in the first three quarters, and the reasons behind these fluctuations have also been of interest.
Looking at the industry distribution of the aforementioned researched listed companies, the electronics industry continues to lead, with 37 companies receiving institutional research last week, including companies such as Edifier, Biwei Storage, Suzhou Tianmai, Yidao Information, and Shiyuan Shares, which institutions valued. The basic chemical industry had 43 companies receiving institutional research last week, with companies such as Yahua Group, Haida Shares, Yunnan Energy Investment, and Aladdin being valued by institutions. The power equipment and machinery equipment industries also had many companies receiving institutional research last week.
Looking at the performance in the secondary market, many listed companies that institutions researched saw their stock prices rise against the trend in the A-share market adjustment last week: Weili Transmission received research from 19 institutions last week, and the company's stock price rose by as much as 41.23% last week; Antarctica E-commerce received research from 45 institutions last week, and the company's stock price rose by more than 30% last week; companies such as Sili Bao Technology, Talking Tom Cat, and Yahua Group, which received frequent institutional research last week, also saw their stock prices rise to the forefront last week.
Mining investment opportunities in a volatile market
On November 25th, the three major A-share market indices opened high and closed low, rebounding near the end of the day, and the decline was significantly narrowed; looking at the industry sectors, social services, textiles and apparel, and comprehensive industries were at the forefront of the increase. From an institutional perspective, many structural layout opportunities have emerged among the industry sectors that were intensively researched by institutions last week.
Taking the electronics industry as an example, Fu Qiang, the chief analyst of Ping An Securities in the computer and electronics industry, believes that there are signs of improvement in semiconductor manufacturing, semiconductor equipment companies have ample orders, and the industry's upward trend in prosperity is maintained. In addition, major manufacturers continue to invest in AI terminals, with chips with AI capabilities being continuously introduced, which is expected to drive a new round of replacement demand. Related targets are recommended for attention.
For the power equipment industry, Deng Wei, an analyst of Huafu Securities in the power and new energy industry, is optimistic about three investment directions: first, going global, benefiting from the acceleration of overseas power grid construction, it is recommended to pay attention to domestic transformer manufacturers with channel advantages and overseas capacity, as well as component leaders with the ability to go global; second, electricity reform, it is recommended to pay attention to virtual power plants that benefit from the short-term lack of electricity capacity during the peak summer period, as well as microgrids and energy management-related targets that benefit from source-network-load storage and corporate energy saving; third, digital distribution network, it is recommended to pay attention to distribution network digital software and platforms, inspection robots and drones, and distribution and power terminal manufacturers, etc.
